Discover the Monstrous Sequel to "Cards, the Universe and Everything"

In the world of gaming, rifts are rarely good news. However, Avid Games has embraced this concept wholeheartedly in Eerie Worlds, the highly anticipated sequel to Cards, the Universe and Everything. While retaining the fun and educational aspects of its predecessor, Eerie Worlds shifts the focus to monsters – specifically, monsters emerging from rifts.

Avid Games has crafted a visually diverse roster of monsters, each inspired by real-world horrors from mythology and folklore worldwide.

The game boasts an impressive range of creatures, encompassing Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake, Slavic monsters such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, and many more from global folklore, including Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, and El Chupacabra. Each card features a detailed and well-researched description, adding an educational layer to the gameplay.

Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating complex tactical possibilities. Monsters within a Horde share some traits but not others, adding significant strategic depth.

Your monster collection is known as your Grimoire, and you can enhance it by merging duplicate cards. The game launches with 160 base cards, with many more accessible through merging, and additional cards planned for release soon.

Avid Games has confirmed the addition of two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds offers lasting replayability.

Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, engaging in nine 30-second turns filled with strategic choices regarding mana management, synergy exploitation, and more. The game's depth requires a learning curve, but the reward is substantial.

Eerie Worlds is available now for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store – download it here.
