This app is part of my initiative, "The Digital Revolution of Devarattam," spearheaded by Kalaimamani Mr. M KUMARARAMAN, a retired teacher and Kalaimani awardee, alongside Kalaimani Mr. M KANNAN KUMAR and Kalaimani Mr. K NELLAI MANIKANDAN from Zamin Kodangipatti.

They have been honored with the prestigious KALAIMAMANI, KALAIMANI, and USTAD BISMILLAH KHAN YUVA PURASKAR awards respectively for their contributions to Devarattam. I dedicate this app to these legendary figures, my mentor Mr. E RAJAKAMULU, and the revered icons of Devarattam.

Designed to promote Devarattam and its celebrated artists, this app provides detailed insights into the dance form and its awardees.

Devarattam, a traditional folk dance of Tamil Nadu, has been performed historically and continues today, notably by the Rajakambalathu Nayakkar community. The dance features 32 foundational steps, with variations extending up to 72 steps.

Devarattam dancers gracefully perform with kerchiefs in each hand and Salangai (ankle bells) on their legs, moving rhythmically to the beats of the Deva Thunthumi, a traditional musical instrument.
