Tim Burton's iconic Batman universe is set to expand further with the release of a new novel, "Batman: Revolution," penned by John Jackson Miller and brought to us by Penguin Random House. This eagerly anticipated book introduces the Burton-Verse's take on The Riddler and is now available for preorder on Amazon.
Following the success of 2024's "Batman: Resurrection," also written by Miller, "Revolution" continues the saga, set between the events of the 1989 "Batman" and 1992's "Batman Returns." This novel draws inspiration from Burton's envisioned third Batman film, which was rumored to feature Robin Williams as The Riddler.

DC Comics is also expanding the Burton-Verse with "Batman '89," a sequel to "Batman Returns" featuring a Billy Dee Williams-inspired Two-Face and a Marlon Wayans-inspired Robin. The follow-up, "Batman '89: Echoes," introduces characters inspired by Jeff Goldblum as Scarecrow and Madonna as Harley Quinn. Additionally, DC has published two volumes of "Superman '78," serving as sequels to the Christopher Reeve Superman films.
