How To Find and Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Essence Stones are a new addition to *Fields of Mistria*, introduced in the March 2025 update. These stones are essential for several new features, making them a crucial resource for daily tasks. This guide explains how to find, craft, and utilize Essence Stones of varying sizes.

Where to Find Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Since the March 2025 update, Essence Stones can be found within chests located throughout the mines in *Fields of Mistria*. While initially discovered while searching for offering items to break the Fire Seal on Floor 60, these chests can appear on any level across all existing biomes and floors. Be cautious, however, as mimic enemies disguised as chests can inflict damage upon interaction.

Essence Stones come in four sizes: tiny, small, medium, and large. Smaller stones are more common, but larger deposits can be found with diligent searching. If your search proves fruitless, crafting them at the Stone Refinery offers an alternative.

How to Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The Stone Refinery in *Fields of Mistria* allows for the crafting of Essence Stones. This location is introduced through a new story quest in the March 2025 update, requiring you to construct the refinery within the mines. After completing prerequisite quests, Adeline will enlist your help alongside Olric and Errol.

Building the Stone Refinery requires:

• x200 Wood
• x400 Stone
• x5,000 Tesserae

Once built, you can craft Essence Stones of various sizes using Stone and Essence. The required quantities vary depending on the size:

**Tiny Essence Stone**	x5 Stone x5 Essence
**Small Essence Stone**	x10 Stone x25 Essence
**Medium Essence Stone**	x20 Stone x50 Essence
**Large Essence Stone**	x40 Stone x100 Essence

Beyond Essence Stones, the Stone Refinery produces a wide range of common materials, Refined Stone, and rare items such as Obsidian and Diamond, making it a valuable crafting hub for various projects in Mistria.

How to Use Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The March 2025 update introduced the auto-petter and sprinkler mechanics. Both utilize Essence Stones, with larger stones providing longer durations. Large Essence Stones offer the longest charge.

The auto-petter, linked to the Animal Sprite Statue, automatically pets animals in Large Barns and Coops when an Essence Stone is active. This rare statue is found in a concealed cave near Errol's house, accessible using the Dragon's Breath spell. Additional statues can be crafted once unlocked.

Similarly, the Water Sprite Statue activates the sprinkler mechanic, automatically watering crops within a 2-tile radius when an Essence Stone is in use. Multiple statues can be crafted and placed to accommodate larger farms. This statue, along with its crafting scroll, is located on a small island east of the beach, beyond the Lighthouse area (requires Dragon's Breath to access).
