Author : Ryan Mar 19,2025

After months of speculation and leaks, Pokémon Champions, a brand-new multiplayer Pokémon battle game, has finally been revealed! Developed through a collaboration between Game Freak and The Pokémon Works (a joint venture between The Pokémon Company and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl developer ILCA), this game promises a thrilling battle experience.

Pokémon Champions focuses on core-style Pokémon battles, letting players engage in online competitions. The trailer showcased both Mega Evolution and Terastallization, hinting at a diverse roster spanning various Pokémon generations and types.

PlayExcitingly, Pokémon Champions will integrate with Pokémon Home, enabling players to transfer Pokémon from previous games into the fray. Finally, a purpose for those hundreds of Pokémon gathering digital dust!

Currently in development for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, Pokémon Champions lacks a release date. However, it will support Latin American Spanish at launch, alongside other familiar languages.

Interestingly, Pokémon Champions appears to be the same game as Pokémon Synapse, leaked last year as part of the significant "Freak Leak." While initial details were scarce, suggesting a multiplayer experience with comparisons to Splatoon, the official reveal clarifies its core battle focus.
