MAME4droid: Your Android Arcade Emulator
MAME4droid, developed by D. Valdeita (Seleuco), brings the classic arcade experience to Android. This Android port of MAME 0.37b5 builds upon previous work for Jailbroken iPhones (iMAME4all) and other platforms like GP2X and WIZ, incorporating elements from Franxis' MAME4ALL 2.5.
Experience over 2000 arcade ROMs! Keep in mind that performance will vary across games and devices. Older devices may experience limitations. For optimal performance, consider adjusting settings such as sound quality, bit depth, CPU clock speed, and disabling animations.
ROM Placement: After installation, place your zipped MAME ROMs (using the '0.37b5' or 'GP2X, WIZ 0.37b11' romsets) in the /sdcard/ROMs/MAME4all/roms
folder. Use the included clrmame.dat
file and ClrMAME Pro (available at http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/) to convert ROMs from other MAME versions.
