Microsoft has announced the departure of eight games from its Xbox Game Pass subscription service on May 15, 2025. The games set to leave include Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City, among others.
Xbox Game Pass is an online gaming service available on Xbox and PC platforms. Subscribers can stream games directly on various smart devices and consoles, enjoy new releases on day one depending on their subscription level, and access a vast catalog of high-quality games with friends across console, PC, or cloud. The following games will be removed from this catalog:
Games leaving Xbox Game Pass in May are:
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
- Chants of Sennaar
- Dune: Spice Wars
- Hauntii
- Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Little Kitty, Big City
- Planet of Lana
- The Big Con
Microsoft is expected to unveil Wave 2 of the May 2025 Game Pass lineup shortly after these games exit the service.
Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members received a new perk: the ability to stream select games directly to their consoles without downloading them. This feature, previously available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, is now extended to Xbox Series X, S, and Xbox One consoles via cloud streaming.
In other news, the much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed until May 2026. If you're eager to dive back into the GTA universe, remember that GTA 5 Enhanced is now available on Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass for PC. This is particularly exciting for PC users, as it marks the first time GTA 5 has been offered on PC Game Pass.
