Pokémon GO enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event is on the horizon, promising an exciting debut of Applin, the Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region. This event is a must-attend for collectors and shiny hunters alike. Let's dive into all the details you need to know.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will run through until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. The highlight of this event is undoubtedly Applin's debut. To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, for Appletun, you'll need the same number of candies along with 20 Sweet Apples. For its final evolution into Dipplin, and eventually Hydrapple, you'll follow a similar path.
Here's an interesting twist: Tart Apples and Sweet Apples, crucial for evolution, will appear in the wild. Tapping on these could reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these Apples increase significantly near Mossy Lure Modules, so keep an eye out!
Did You Know?
Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to avoid its natural predators, bird Pokémon. This adorable Pokémon is certainly a charming addition to your Pokémon GO collection.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can also snag some new avatar items from the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. On the bonuses front, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, making your collection efforts even more rewarding.
Shiny hunters, rejoice! There's an increased chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild, as well as hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs. Additionally, catching Delibird or Skwovet during the event will reward you with berries, adding a sweet touch to your gameplay.
