Studio Wildcard has released an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing nearly two years of planned updates for the remastered version of the popular survival crafting game, ARK: Survival Evolved. The game entered early access in late November 2023 and has been receiving regular content updates since then.
On January 11, Studio Wildcard, based in Redmond, Washington, shared its roadmap, which extends until late 2026. The first update is a technical patch scheduled for March 2025, transitioning ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises significant performance improvements and the reintroduction of Nvidia's frame generation feature, which was previously removed due to engine-related issues in late 2024.

The transition to Unreal Engine 5.5 will also facilitate Studio Wildcard's ongoing efforts to restructure the game's data, enabling players to download DLC packs individually. This approach aims to reduce the game's overall install size.
In April 2025, players can expect new content, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature. June 2025 will see the introduction of a new premium map, details of which are set to be revealed in early spring. In August 2025, another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will be added.
In 2026, Studio Wildcard plans to focus on remastering the Genesis expansions from ARK: Survival Evolved. Genesis: Part 1 will be released in April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August, each accompanied by a part of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop included in the game's season pass. The remastered Fjordur map is slated for a free update in December 2026. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames are scheduled to be introduced throughout 2026.
The roadmap provides a broad overview of the updates, hinting at possible smaller surprises that Studio Wildcard may have in store for ARK: Survival Ascended over the next two years.
