This particular version, which debuted over a decade ago, originally known as PAC-MAN + Tournaments, offered much more than just the classic arcade experience.
When Is the PAC-MAN Mobile Shutdown?
The official shutdown date for PAC-MAN Mobile is set for May 30th, 2025. In-app purchases were discontinued as of April 1st, but players can continue enjoying the game until the final date. Many fans have voiced their disappointment over the complete shutdown, suggesting that an offline version could have been a viable alternative, potentially keeping the game alive and generating some revenue.
This version of PAC-MAN was not just about reliving the 8-bit arcade nostalgia. It featured a Story Mode with numerous unique mazes, an Adventure Mode with limited-time themed events offering exclusive skins, and a Tournament Mode with weekly maze challenges across three difficulty levels.
