NCSoft has made a surprising announcement regarding the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer MOBA, Battle Crush. Despite not having launched its fully polished version, the game, which conducted a global test in August 2023 and had an early access release in June 2024, is set to wind down just a few months later.
When is the Battle Crush EOS?
The game is scheduled to shut down on November 29th, 2024. The in-game shop has already ceased selling items. If you made purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, you are eligible for a refund.
Android and Steam players can initiate their refund requests starting from December 2nd, 2024, and have until January 2025 to do so. As the closure approaches, ensure you download any content you wish to keep by November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible after this date.
The official Battle Crush website will remain operational until May 30th, 2025, which may be useful for any last-minute support needs. The game's social media accounts and Discord server will be closed on January 31st, 2025.
Does it Surprise You?
The announcement of an EOS can be disheartening for players who have invested time and effort into a game. The Battle Crush community is undoubtedly feeling the impact of this decision. However, those who have been following the game's progress might not be entirely shocked. The gameplay experience was not seamless; the mechanics felt somewhat clunky, and the pacing could have been more refined. Although Battle Crush offered fun moments, it lacked the polish needed to sustain long-term engagement, ultimately leading to its EOS.
Before the game shuts down completely, you can still explore it on the Google Play Store. Alternatively, you might want to dive into our latest coverage on the Autumn Season, featuring story-driven quests in Black Desert Mobile.
