Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

Author : Allison May 14,2025

After months of swirling rumors and leaks, it appears that Bethesda is poised to officially announce the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is slated for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, and will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.

Bethesda teased the reveal on their official Twitter/X account today, featuring a prominent "IV" and a background strikingly similar to well-known art from the original Oblivion game, leaving little doubt about the subject of the announcement.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, with recent leaks intensifying the buzz. The possibility first surfaced in 2020 when a leaked Bethesda release schedule from the FTC vs. Microsoft trial hinted at an Oblivion remaster for fiscal year 2022. Although the timeline had passed, suggesting the project might have been canceled, further leaks in January of this year indicated that Bethesda, in collaboration with Virtuos, was working on a full-scale remake. Last week's leaks from Virtuos' website, which included images of the game in development, seemed to confirm these rumors.

If these leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to be released on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. A Deluxe Edition is rumored to include the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what could be the official confirmation and more exciting details about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake.
