If you're a fan of Pokémon GO, you're in for a treat with several exciting events on the horizon, including the Catch Mastery event. The game is already buzzing with the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery events, with the Catch Mastery event being a thrilling part of the latter.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for the Catch Mastery event happening on March 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event shines the spotlight on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance to catch their Shiny versions.
Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers fantastic XP bonuses: double XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.
Additionally, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-types. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, leading to a total of 40 Archen encounters.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon
Get ready for the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is set to receive a new Charged Attack called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently have access to this move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. You'll also have the opportunity to obtain up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your total to six for the day.
