The mobile RPG Boomerang RPG: Watch Out Dude, having surpassed 1 million downloads, celebrates with a crossover event featuring the popular South Korean webcomic The Sound of Your Heart.
The Sound of Your Heart, a long-running and widely viewed webtoon by Jo Seok, follows the comedic misadventures of Jo Seok and his eccentric family. Its popularity even led to a Netflix adaptation.
This exciting collaboration brings the beloved Sound of Your Heart characters into the Boomerang RPG world. Players can team up with Jo Seok, his formidable wife Aebong (including her fearsome "Dark Aebong" alter ego!), his lovable father-in-law Jjaeddanyo, and his unique friend Buuk Suh (who sheds petals when injured).
The event challenges players to rescue Aebong, Jjaeddanyo, and Buuk Suh from a dungeon. Completing this task adds them to the player's party. The final boss? The hilariously animated Dark Aebong, whose attacks are directly inspired by the comic's visual style.
Beyond the characters, the event introduces limited-time boomerangs themed around everyday objects (drumstick, golf club, hairdryer, stylus) and a "Token Event" where collecting food-themed tokens unlocks unique magic effects and legendary boomerangs.
