Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests designed to encourage competition based on fast clear times. To maintain a fair playing environment, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and the use of external tools. In a post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."
Capcom emphasized that not only will cheaters face consequences, but players who participate in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could also see their quest completion times invalidated and their "right to rewards" revoked for the entire party. The company advised players to be cautious and avoid playing multiplayer with those engaging in or suspected of prohibited activities. They also encouraged reporting any fraudulent activity observed during quests.
The new quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, some of which will be distributed to all participants, while others will be based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This explains Capcom's heightened vigilance against cheating, as it directly impacts the distribution of rewards and the integrity of completion times.
