Onimusha: Way of the Sword – A 2026 Release
The upcoming Onimusha: Way of the Sword, slated for a 2026 release, focuses on compelling characters, a new protagonist, and engaging enemies. The game will be set in the Edo period of Kyoto, featuring historically accurate locations. The developers aim to deliver intense sword combat with satisfying enemy dismemberment. The protagonist, due to a twist of fate, will wield an Oni Gauntlet, fueled by the souls of defeated Genma. The difficulty will be challenging yet accessible to action fans of all skill levels.
Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny Remaster – Coming in 2025
A remastered version of the 2002 classic, Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, is scheduled for release in 2025, bridging the gap until the launch of Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 Details
The second Open Beta for Monster Hunter Wilds introduces the flagship monster, Arkveld, in a challenging advanced quest. Other additions include a Gypceros Hunt, a training area, and online features like Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode. Data from the first Beta can be transferred. Returning features include the Character Creator, Story Trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. Cross-play will be enabled. The Beta runs:
- February 6th, 7 PM PT – February 9th, 6:59 PM PT
- February 13th, 7 PM PT – February 16th, 6:59 PM PT
Participants will receive a special Pendant. Character data transfers to the full game (February 28th release), but progress will not carry over.
Monster Hunter Wilds Reveals Iceshard Cliffs and New Monsters
The new story trailer showcased the Iceshard Cliffs, introducing new monsters: Rove (Wudwud), Hirabami (Leviathan), Nerscylla (Temnoceran), and Gore Magala.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Release Date
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 launches May 16th, 2025, featuring titles such as Capcom vs. SNK (Millennium Fight 2000 Pro and Mark of the Millennium 2001), Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Power Stone (1 & 2), Project Justice, and Plasma Sword: Night of Bilstein.
