New Additions to Civ 7
The early March release will feature Ada Lovelace (Great Britain), Carthage, and four new natural wonders. Simón Bolívar (leading either Nepal or Bulgaria), and the remaining civilization will arrive later in March. While specifics are scarce, we can speculate based on historical context.
Leader and Civilization Predictions:
- Ada Lovelace (Great Britain): Given her pioneering work in computer programming, she'll likely focus on science and potentially leverage Codex and Specialist mechanics. Great Britain's bonuses might reflect its industrial era dominance, possibly boosting naval production and trade.
- Simón Bolívar (Nepal or Bulgaria): His historical role as a military leader suggests a militaristic/expansionist playstyle, potentially utilizing the Commanders mechanic effectively. His focus might be on logistical prowess to maintain a strong offensive.
- Carthage: Its historical wealth and trading prominence suggest a focus on trade, possibly emphasizing Trade Route capacity and Culture bonuses. A bonus to the Colossus wonder is also plausible.
- Great Britain: As a returning civilization, Great Britain will likely emphasize naval production, trade, and potentially receive production boosts from Oxford University.
- Nepal: Its location in the Himalayas and military history suggest bonuses related to mountainous terrain and potentially a blend of military and cultural strengths.
- Bulgaria: Its location at the crossroads of East and West, and its historical ties to the Ottomans, might lead to a focus on military and economy, possibly with cavalry units and bonuses to traditions/social policies.
Natural Wonders:
The DLC will include four new natural wonders, likely providing additional tile yields.
