Firaxis Games Unveils Civ 7 Post-Launch Roadmap
Firaxis Games has revealed its post-launch roadmap for Civilization VII (Civ 7), detailing upcoming free updates and paid DLC. The game launched on February 11th, and the roadmap outlines content planned for March and beyond.

March Updates:
The March updates include both paid DLC and free content updates. The paid DLC will feature Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar as new leaders.

Free updates will introduce new gameplay elements, including the addition of the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.

Future Content:
Beyond March, Firaxis plans to release additional content, including:
- 2 new leaders
- 4 new civilizations
- 4 new world wonders
- New events and challenges
The release window for this content is yet to be announced. Further updates are also planned for October 2025 and beyond.
Planned Updates (No Release Dates):
Firaxis also acknowledged several features that didn't make the initial launch but are in development:
- Adding teams to multiplayer
- Increasing the maximum multiplayer player count to 8
- Allowing players to select starting and ending ages
- Expanding map type variety
- Adding hotseat multiplayer
The team is actively working on these additions and will release them as soon as possible.
