Clash Royale bizarrely partners with Michael Bolton

Author : Liam Mar 22,2025

Clash Royale has teamed up with Michael Bolton—yes, that Michael Bolton—resulting in the Barbarian's surprising transformation into the "Boltarian." Following collaborations with Erling Haaland in Clash of Clans and Gordon Ramsay in Hay Day, Supercell’s latest celebrity partnership is arguably their most unexpected yet. This collaboration features a new music video where Bolton and the Barbarian perform a rendition of his hit song, "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You."

The music video, specifically targeted at lapsed Clash Royale players, showcases the Barbarian sporting a fresh mullet and handlebar mustache as the Boltarian. Beyond the music video, the song will also be available on major music streaming platforms. While details on a potential rewards campaign to entice returning players are currently unavailable, Supercell seems to be banking on the Boltarian's vocal talents to reignite interest.

The humorous and unexpected nature of this collaboration is undeniable. While initially surprising, given Supercell's history of high-profile partnerships, it's perhaps less shocking than it initially appears. However, the effectiveness of a parody music video in attracting lapsed players remains uncertain. Hopefully, additional in-game promotions or a return campaign will follow to further engage former players.

In the meantime, if this collaboration has indeed lured you back to Clash Royale, be sure to consult our regularly updated tier list to optimize your gameplay strategy.
