Microids is bringing back the classic 1994 action-adventure game, Little Big Adventure, with a completely revamped version titled Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest, launching this autumn on all major platforms. This updated release retains the original's charm while boasting significant modern improvements. Developed by 2.21 and published by Microids (currently developing a new Totally Spies game), the remake stays true to the spirit of the original, created by Frederick Raynal's team at Adeline Software International.
Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest features a compelling narrative with thought-provoking themes, redesigned controls and level layouts, a modernized version of Twinsen's signature weapon, a fresh artistic style, and a new soundtrack composed by the original's composer, Philippe Vachey (known for his work on the Alone in the Dark series with Raynal).
A Journey Back to Twinsun:
The game unfolds on the planet Twinsun, home to four harmonious species. This peace is shattered by Dr. Funfrock's inventions of cloning and teleportation, leading to his tyrannical rule. Players step into the shoes of Twinsen, embarking on an epic adventure filled with challenging puzzles and formidable enemies. Twinsen's mission: defeat Dr. Funfrock and liberate Twinsun's inhabitants.
The original Little Big Adventure saw digital re-releases in 2011 (PC and Mac via GOG.com) and later on Android and iOS. Following announcements in 2021 by the development team 2.21 (via co-creator Didier Chanfray), Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest is finally ready to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG) later this year.
