Code Geass: Lost Stories Concludes Worldwide Tour on Mobile

The mobile strategy tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global run. While the Japanese version will continue, the global servers will shut down on August 29th, 2024. This means no new downloads, purchases, or logins will be possible after that date; all official social media accounts will also close.

Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, the game, based on the popular Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion franchise, launched globally in September 2023, falling short of its first anniversary.

The Reason for Closure:

While no official reason was given, the game's low download numbers and largely negative global reviews likely contributed to its closure. Many anime gacha games struggle to maintain a player base outside Japan due to lower spending habits. The game's blend of RPG, action, and tower defense elements, while appealing to some, apparently wasn't enough to overcome these challenges.

Japanese players can still access the game via the Google Play Store. For global players, August 29th marks the final day to experience Code Geass: Lost Stories.
