In Freedom Wars Remastered, customizing your loadout is key to success during operations. While your main equipment like weapons and Thrones might not change often, Combat Items are crucial consumables with diverse uses, and they're typically limited in quantity.
You'll pick up additional Combat Items as you complete operations, but the haul might not always be enough to fully prepare for your next mission. At the game's start, you're restricted to equipping just one Combat Item; let's explore how to overcome these limitations.
How To Equip More Combat Items In Freedom Wars Remastered
To equip more Combat Items, you'll need to unlock specific Entitlements. From your cell, access the Window On Liberty and select "Claim Entitlements". Navigate to the Equipment section, then move one tab to the right to find the One-Item Permit option. Each subsequent permit you purchase will increase your capacity, allowing you to equip up to four Combat Items.
These story-based Entitlements become available quickly, and by reaching CODE level 3, you can acquire all four permits. Remember, the next permit in the sequence only appears after you've bought the previous one. When you equip a Combat Item, you'll have access to the entire stack you own at the start of the Operation. For instance, equipping a Frag Grenade means you'll have as many as you've got on hand.
Additionally, your Accessory can hold one Combat Item, which it will use independently.
Where To Get More Combat Items In Freedom Wars Remastered
As you advance past the initial missions in the main storyline, you'll unlock The Warren, a HUB area. Here, you'll find Zakka, a store located on the upper level along the right side. Beyond weapons, Zakka offers a "Buy Items" option, revealing the Munitions and Medical Supplies lists.
- Munitions: These are items that directly inflict damage on enemies during combat.
- Medical Supplies: These include items that heal, cure ailments, or replenish ammunition.
Each Combat Item has its own price in Entitlement Points, and buying in bulk can be costly. If you're in dire need of Medkits, consider donating old resources to gather more points. While Operations may occasionally reward you with Combat Items, relying on this method for farming is inefficient due to the time investment and the risk of consuming more items than you gain.
