How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era
Starting your adventure in Hollow Era, you begin as a Soul Spirit. To transform into a Shinigami, or Soul Reaper, you must embark on your journey by accepting the first quest from the NPC named Hurt Shinigami. She's calling for assistance, and once you commit to the Shinigami path, there's no turning back—you won't be able to switch to a Hollow unless you later choose to become a Visored. When choosing your path, act quickly. To become a Hollow, simply break your chain. However, if you choose to be a Shinigami, your chain will begin to break slowly regardless of your actions. Every two minutes, a section of the chain will break, and if you let it break completely, you'll turn into a Hollow. In such a case, refer to our resurrection moves lists for your Hollow endgame.
Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide
Your initial quest as a Shinigami involves purifying 6 Lost Souls, a task that aligns with the Shinigami's role of maintaining the balance between life and death. After that, pick up your next quest from the NPC next to Hurt Shinigami, which requires you to deliver a letter to a Doctor friend near the hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity to familiarize yourself with your powers. Consider purchasing a $1,000 random sword of power from a Urakara shop. If you have the funds, use the bus stop as a teleport/fast travel option for $200, as the map is expansive and involves a lot of running. Alternatively, you can visit the menu, enter the Robux Shop, and buy infinite fast travel for 149 Robux.

From there, quests continue, marked by a red crosshair. You'll face challenges such as defeating one Hollow, then five Corrupted Shinigamis, and more until you reach level 15. Quests are divided into repeatable quests, progression quests, and those tied to specific paths like Vizard and Airwalk.

Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu
To maximize your Shinigami Reiatsu, strategic investment of your skill points is crucial. The Reiatsu Skill Tree offers powerful Kido abilities exclusive to Shinigami characters.
The Kido and Reiatsu Nodes are straightforward: Kido Nodes enhance the damage of Kido skills, while Reiatsu Nodes increase your maximum Reiatsu output. Below are some Kido abilities and their descriptions:
- Caja Negacion: Forms a beam of lightning from your finger. When combined with Electric, it spreads electricity outward from the target.
- Shakkaho: A red energy ball forms in your hand, exploding upon impact. With Ragdoll, it can knock back opponents, and with Fire, it ignites them.
- Chain Bind: Summons energy chains to pull enemies towards you.
- Prison of Light: Six light rods immobilize the enemy, perfect for agile foes.
- Thunder Sear: A slow-moving lightning ball causes electric damage and explodes upon contact, ideal for crowd control.
How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era
To obtain Shikai in Hollow Era, you must reach level 15 and visit Urihiro to take the Shikai Training quest. Your task is to defeat Urahara Kisuke for 1,700 exp, unlocking Shikai powers upon completion.

Warning: If your character isn't fully optimized, defeating Kisuke at level 15 can be challenging. Feel free to grind up to level 25 or higher before attempting this quest.
Using Shikai
Upon unlocking Shikai, your weapon gains a random mighty ability. If you're not satisfied with the power, you can re-roll it at Urahara Shop for a fee.
The game features a Rage Bar that fills with damage taken or dealt. When full and pulsating, press Y (default keybind) to activate Shikai. It deactivates when you run out of Reiatsu or release the key.
Hollow Era Shikai Mastering
Your Shikai Mastery Level depends on the Mastery Points you earn by using Shikai Skills. A higher Mastery Level reduces the Rage spent during Shikai use and grants different aura effects and character appearances.
- Mastery Level 1: 1-149 Points. Grants Transparent Aura.
- Mastery Level 2: 150-299 Points. Grants a brighter aura with particles.
- Mastery Level 3: 300-499 Points. Grants a Lightning boost.
- Mastery Level 4: 500+ Points. Grants a zone of flying stones around you.
Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era
Once you commit to the Shinigami path, the Hollow route is closed—unless you become a Visored. This allows you to break the barrier between Shinigami and Hollow, using a Hollow Mask to switch between the two.
To pursue the Vizard fighting style, you must reach level 50 or higher. This unlocks Kido, Kendo, and Vizard styles. Obtain the Vizard quest at the Vizard’s Warehouse, where Shinigami can acquire Hollow powers, mirroring the Bleach canon.

To become a full-fledged Visored, you'll need Hogyoku, an orb that breaks barriers between Hollow and Shinigami. Defeat the King of Hueco Mundo to obtain Hogyoku, though the drop rate is only 1%. This is the first step toward unlocking Visored progression, followed by obtaining the Vizard fighting style.
Hollow Era Visored Mastering
As a Visored, you gain access to unique perks and buffs. Mask Control reduces the chance of Hollow control, and the Visored node extends mask-wearing time, boosting damage from Hollow powers.

- Hollow Mask: Grants control over your inner Hollow, allowing you to wear the mask on command.
- Cero: Charges a beam of Reiatsu for significant damage.
- Final Cero: Pins down enemies and crushes them with a powerful Cero from above.
- Vasto Rage: Unleashes your full Hollow potential, turning you into the mightiest Hollow type temporarily.
What About Hollow Era Bankai?
Currently, Bankai is not available in Hollow Era. However, given the game's popularity, future updates may introduce Bankai. No release date has been confirmed, so we can only hope for a swift Bankai update.
Hollow Era Tips and Tricks
If combat feels disorienting, use the lockup button to target your primary enemy, especially helpful when the game lags or bugs out. Learn how to block enemy attacks quickly, as even low-level enemies can deal significant damage, and your vitality bar doesn't refill fast enough. Upon death, you lose money and must walk back to your quest targets, making bus teleport a worthwhile investment if you can afford it.
When collecting Skill Points, prioritize Strength and Speed initially. Although Sword, Vitality, and Reiatsu are valuable, focusing on damage output and mobility early on is essential. When lost, press and hold J (default keybind) to reveal all markers around Karakura with your Reiatsu sense.
While Hollows offer their own unique gameplay, if you dislike repetitive tasks, the Shinigami path might be more enjoyable. Hollows can feel like a grind.
