How To Complete The Primitive Challenge in Phasmophobia
The Primitive Challenge ranks among the toughest weekly challenges currently available in Phasmophobia. As the name implies, you must identify the ghost and complete your investigations without the aid of any electronics. This leaves you with minimal tools, forcing you to rely heavily on your intuition and understanding of ghost behavior.
You'll tackle this challenge at 10 Ridgeview Court, a house-style map known for its easier navigation and safer layout compared to other locations. Remember, like all weekly challenges, you need to successfully complete three qualifying investigations to fully complete the challenge.
Tips & Tricks To Complete Primitive Challenge in Phasmophobia
Navigating the Primitive Challenge requires understanding its unique rules and adapting to the limited equipment provided. Electronics, a staple in ghost hunting, are completely off-limits, leaving you without Flashlights, DOTs Projectors, Video Cameras, and other essential tools.
Sanity Medication is also removed, but you start with a full Sanity meter, offering temporary protection against ghost activities. Your provided equipment includes two Tier 1 Crucifixes to prevent up to two ghost hunt attempts, Tier 2 Firelights, and a full set of Tier 1 Incense for additional protection.
For evidence gathering, your options are severely restricted. You have two Tier 3 Ghost Writing books and two Tier 1 "glowstick" UV lights, which serve dual purposes as both light sources and tools for ultraviolet evidence. Additionally, you're equipped with two Tier 1 thermometers to detect freezing temperatures.
Your success hinges on leveraging your knowledge of ghost behavior and traits. Our no-evidence cheat sheet can be a valuable resource in distinguishing between ghost types without traditional evidence.
To begin your investigation, prioritize locating the ghost as quickly as possible. The increased ghost activity in this challenge should help you track it down despite the lack of access to the fuse box, which keeps you in the dark and at greater risk of sanity loss.
Alternatively, you can use the provided Cursed Object, the Ouija Board, located in the laundry room on the first floor, left of the dining area. Ask the ghost for its "favorite room" to pinpoint its location, but be aware this will cost 50% of your sanity. Always remember to say "Goodbye" to avoid breaking the board and triggering a Cursed Hunt. This method is particularly useful for group play as an additional safety measure.
