The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition - PS5
0$109.99 at PlayStation Direct
An official description for The Last of Us Complete notes, "Experience the full narrative that inspired the hit TV series through definitive editions of both award-winning games, featuring graphical and gameplay enhancements powered by the PlayStation 5."
The Last of Us Complete includes both mainline adventures along with all their subsequent bonus content. This encompasses the Left Behind prequel DLC, as well as The Last of Us Part II Remastered's No Return mode and Lost Levels. For fans of the HBO series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey who haven't yet played the original games, this comprehensive digital bundle is priced at $99.99.
As detailed in a PlayStation.Blog post by Naughty Dog Head of Studio Neil Druckmann, a physical Collector's Edition will launch on July 10 for $109.99, with pre-orders live now. It includes several collectibles: a Steelbook case, physical game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics #1–4, four lithograph art prints, and a thank-you letter from Druckmann.
"On behalf of our entire studio, thank you for your incredible support of The Last of Us and Naughty Dog over the years," Druckmann wrote. "This is a thrilling moment for the franchise and our teams. We are deeply moved by your personal stories about what the series means to you, amazed by your stunning Photo Mode captures, and inspired to keep creating stories and worlds you'll love."
The Last of Us first launched on PS3 in 2013 and, while remaining a beloved PlayStation staple, its numerous re-releases have drawn some criticism. Joel and Ellie's journey was enhanced for PS4 in 2014, then fully remade for PS5 in 2022. The Last of Us Part II continued the story in 2020 and received a remaster in early 2024. Both titles are also available on PC, with Part I arriving in 2023 and Part II Remastered releasing last week.
The Last of Us Complete assembles all of Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic content into one package as the latest re-release. While some may question another revisit to this world, the timing aligns with HBO's The Last of Us Season 2, which premieres its first episode this Sunday. A Season 3 was officially greenlit just yesterday.
