CrazyGames is excited to launch its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, kicking off this week and running from April 25th to May 5th. This 10-day event, held in partnership with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, invites indie developers worldwide to participate in a thrilling game development marathon focused on crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants will have the chance to compete for an impressive €10,000 in cash prizes, along with premium Photon licenses. The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to unleash their creativity and innovation.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the premier destination for free online gaming, utilizing cutting-edge technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI to deliver seamless browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. During the event, CrazyGames and Photon will provide support, and winning games will have the opportunity to be published on the CrazyGames platform.
To kick things off, a pre-jam livestream will be hosted on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This session will offer insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, expressed enthusiasm about the potential of these platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, visit the official jam page.
