Paradox Interactive has unveiled a thrilling lineup of content for Crusader Kings III throughout 2025, encapsulated in Chapter IV. This chapter focuses on expanding the game's horizons into Asia, bringing new mechanics and regions for players to delve into.
The chapter begins with the recently released cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This stylish pack adds six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, offering players more options to customize their rulers and enhance their visual appeal.
Next up, on April 28, the major DLC Khans of the Steppe will be launched, allowing players to take command of the Mongols. As the Great Khan, you'll lead a nomadic horde, conquering lands and asserting dominance over neighboring territories, providing a unique gameplay experience focused on expansion and warfare.
Following this, Coronations will introduce a new ceremonial mechanic, set to release in Q3 (July–September). Players will be able to legitimize their reign through grand coronation events, which involve hosting lavish festivities, making solemn vows, and charting the course of their kingdom. Additionally, new advisor and vassal events will enrich political interactions, adding depth to the dynamics of royal succession.
The chapter will culminate with the expansive All Under Heaven DLC, arriving later in the year. This massive expansion will introduce the entire East Asian map, featuring detailed representations of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have vast new territories to explore and conquer, significantly expanding the game's scope and strategic possibilities.
Between these major DLC releases, Paradox Interactive will roll out patches to refine game systems and improve AI behavior. The developers are keen on incorporating player feedback to shape future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26.
