This major update for Marvel Snap draws inspiration from Marvel's Dark Reign storyline, the aftermath of Civil War. Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin, seizes control of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s remnants (renamed H.A.M.M.E.R.) and assembles his own sinister Avengers.
