Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features
Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, is getting a remastered release for the PlayStation 5, boasting a range of exciting new features. Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, the upgrade includes enhancements such as VRR and PS5 Pro support, but the real highlights are the additions to gameplay.
Prepare for thrilling new challenges with the inclusion of permadeath and speedrun modes. A revamped photo mode and expanded accessibility options cater to a wider range of players. The addition of Horde Assault, a unique arcade mode, will test your skills against larger-than-life Freaker hordes.
Days Gone Remastered arrives on April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for a mere $10. Watch the debut trailer below:
This remastered edition represents Sony's continued effort to enhance PS4 titles for PS5 players. Joining other upgraded games like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Days Gone Remastered promises a significantly improved experience.
PC players aren't left out. While Days Gone is already available on PC, the $10 Broken Roads DLC will bring the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and accessibility features to that platform as well.
A recent PlayStation.Blog post revealed further details. Built from the ground up for PS5, the game offers improved visuals selectable in Performance or Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience even more stunning visuals and audio. DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers add another layer of immersion.
New PS5 players can purchase Days Gone Remastered for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, offering eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as pre-order bonuses. For a complete overview of the State of Play announcements, check out our comprehensive summary here.
