Dead Cells Mobile's final free updates delayed, arriving February 18th, 2025
The final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been delayed, but now have a confirmed release date: February 18th, 2025. Both updates, already released on console and PC, will introduce significant new content.
Clean Cut will feature:
- Two new weapons: Sewing Scissors (Survival focus) and Giant Comb (Brutality focus).
- A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allowing customization of your character's head.
- Additional content.
The End is Near will include:
- New enemies: Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer.
- New skills and colorless mutations, such as Demonic Strength (30% damage boost when cursed, plus 1% per curse stack).
Playdigious, the developer, has consistently provided substantial free content for Dead Cells. While the end of free updates was initially met with some criticism, the team has earned a well-deserved break to pursue other projects.
The updates will launch simultaneously on Android and iOS on February 18th, 2025. New players are encouraged to consult a Dead Cells weapon tier list to prepare for the challenging gameplay.
