The latest update for Dead Island 2 has arrived with Patch 6, introducing spine-chilling new game modes that elevate the horror experience. Welcome the Revenants in Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2's Update Patch 6 introduces the highly anticipated New Game Plus (NG+) mode, allowing players to replay the entire game at a heightened difficulty level while retaining their inventory. This update also lets you continue playing with your leveled-up character, offering three additional skill slots, an increased level cap, new weapons and skins, and, of course, new enemies.
Enter the Revenants, a new type of zombie that are more powerful variants of Apex zombies. These Revenants come with new behaviors and tweaked capabilities designed to make them challenging to defeat. "This, combined with the changes from New Game Plus, are going to push the challenge all the way up to 11," the developers stated in their announcement blog, ensuring that players seeking a real test of their skills will find it.
To assist with the increased difficulty in NG+, every weapon in this mode will be more potent than those found in the main game. Players can also look forward to collecting and wielding more fixed-rarity weapons. Additionally, the update brings the new Neighbourhood Watch horde mode, a unique blend of horde mode and tower defense. The objective is to defend your home base over five days, with the first four days spent fending off hordes of enemies and completing objectives to acquire essential gear.
