On January 18, Deadlock welcomed four new heroes into the fray, and shortly thereafter, the developers rolled out balance tweaks to ensure a fair and engaging gameplay experience. Holliday's Crackshot ability now triggers on units as well, utilizing half its cooldown in these instances. Meanwhile, Calico's Ava ability has been updated to destroy objects she encounters during her run.
The patch also revisited some of the veteran heroes. Kelvin's health has been boosted from 600 to 650, enhancing his survivability. On the other hand, Vendicta saw a reduction in her bullet speed from 810 to 740, and her movement speed dropped from nine to eight, aiming to balance her effectiveness in combat. In total, this update made targeted adjustments to 11 heroes, encompassing both the newcomers and established characters.
Currently, Deadlock remains in closed beta, yet it's maintaining a robust player base, with online counts fluctuating between 7,000 and 20,000 players. This steady engagement reflects the community's enthusiasm for the game and Valve's ongoing commitment to its development.
