Netflix Unveils Devil May Cry Anime's Opening Trailer, Featuring Limp Bizkit
Following the announcement of its premiere date, Netflix dropped the opening trailer for its upcoming Devil May Cry anime adaptation. Set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," the trailer showcases dynamic action sequences featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the enigmatic White Rabbit, peppered with nods to the game series.
Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his vision for the anime's future. He explained that the series, set in the late 90s and early 2000s, will utilize a soundtrack reflecting that era's distinct musical landscape. Beyond Limp Bizkit, expect other period-appropriate tracks, alongside a synthwave reimagining of the game's soundtrack by Power Glove.
Shankar hinted at a multi-season arc, stating that future seasons will boast unique visual styles and soundtracks to mirror the diverse nature of the Devil May Cry games.
Plot specifics remain under wraps. However, the first season is anticipated to adapt elements from the Devil May Cry 3 manga, Code 1: Dante, centering on a young Dante's investigation into a child's disappearance. This investigation will inevitably confront him with his past, his family, and the legacy of his demonic father, Sparda.
The eight-episode first season premieres April 3, 2025.
