In *Avowed*, treasure maps can be acquired through various means, such as purchasing them or discovering them while exploring the expansive game world. The Painter’s Regret map, however, is only found out in the wild.
The Painter’s Regret treasure map is situated in Emerald Stair, the second major region you'll explore in *Avowed*. Specifically, it's inside a house at the northeast end of Coastal Farms. You'll find a large house positioned in front of a rock face, but before you can enter, you'll need to clear out the enemies guarding the front entrance.

How To Get Into the Painter’s Regret House in Avowed
As with many RPGs, entering the Painter’s Regret house isn't as straightforward as walking through the front door—it's barred shut. After defeating the enemies outside, head around to the right side of the house. You'll find a walkway leading to an accessible back door. Once inside, you'll spot a large painting on an easel; this is the treasure map. Take it, and you're set to hunt for treasure in *Avowed*.
With the map in hand, head to the western side of the river southwest of Fior mes Iverno. Your reward for this quest is the Painter’s Brush, a unique trinket that boosts your critical hit chance by 5%, enhancing your combat effectiveness in the Living Lands.
