New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile!
Pokémon Sleep players have a reason to celebrate! As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are now available to befriend. This guide explains how to add these icy newcomers to your team.
Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile
Given their Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, you might expect to find Sneasel and Weavile in snowy areas. In Pokémon Sleep, however, they're classified as Dark-type and appear in two locations:
- Snowdrop Tundra: Their primary habitat, reflecting their icy nature.
- Greengrass Isle: Surprisingly, they also appear on the starter island, making them accessible to all players.
If you're currently researching on a different island, use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch to either Snowdrop Tundra or Greengrass Isle.
Sleep Types and Evolution
Both Sneasel and Weavile share the "Dozing" sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them requires setting your sleep type to Dozing.
Sneasel is easier to find initially. Evolving it into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.
Are Sneasel and Weavile Valuable?
Sneasel's value lies in its ability to collect Wiki Berries, particularly useful on Snowdrop Tundra. It also provides a "Tasty Chance S" skill, boosting dish quality. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable asset.
Speciality | Ingredients | Main Skill |
---|---|---|
Berries | Bean Sausage, Fancy Egg, Greengrass Soybeans | Tasty Chance S |
