In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, players of all skill levels can expect to take some damage during their journey through the game. Newcomers to the series, in particular, might be eager to learn how to heal as they dive into the action. Fortunately, healing in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is straightforward, involving the use of a special consumable item. For those who prefer a hands-off approach, the game also offers an auto-healing feature, making it easier to keep an eye on the action without constantly monitoring your health bar.
How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Just like in previous entries of the Dynasty Warriors series, healing in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is done with meat buns. These can be obtained by smashing pots scattered around enemy bases. Additionally, enemy officers might drop meat buns upon defeat, but this only occurs on the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings. Players on Hero and Ultimate Warrior difficulties will need to rely solely on pots for their healing items.
To heal during battle, players can consume a meat bun by pressing Up on the D-Pad, provided they have at least one in their inventory. If a player's inventory is full when picking up a meat bun, it will be automatically consumed unless the player is already at full health, in which case it remains on the ground. Initially, the inventory limit is three meat buns, but players can increase this capacity by acquiring the Meat Bun Glutton skill, which is ideal for those who find three buns insufficient for their needs.
For those who prefer not to manually manage their healing, the "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option can be enabled in the Configuration menu. This feature automatically uses meat buns when the player's health drops below a set threshold. Even with auto-healing enabled, players can still manually use meat buns, making it a versatile option for all play styles.
