After its initial announcement in June 2020 and subsequent teasers, skate. has finally kicked off playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox! While there's no set date for the PC beta yet, fans can still sign up as an Insider to stay in the loop.
According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since December, with some indications pointing back to September via a highlight reel. Developer Full Circle continues to invite fans to join the playtesting, as the game is still in active development.
To participate in the beta, eager players should visit EA's official website and navigate to Skate's page to register for the Skate Insider Playtesting. Not only will you get early access to the game, but as an Insider, you'll also receive exclusive rewards like an in-game skateboard and stickers when Early Access launches.
skate. is slated for an Early Access release in 2025. This latest installment in the franchise arrives almost a decade after Skate 3 and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, skate. aims to be a free-to-play, live-service game that promises an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as shared by Full Circle in a previous interview on their YouTube channel.
