"Event Horizon: Dark Descent - Awaited Prequel to the Film"

More than three decades after its initial release, fans of Paul W.S. Anderson's cult classic *Event Horizon* are in for a treat. IDW Publishing has announced a thrilling prequel in the form of a comic book series titled *Event Horizon: Dark Descent*. This five-issue series promises to delve into the chilling backstory of the film, shedding light on the mysterious fate of the original crew aboard the Event Horizon ship.

Penned by Christian Ward, known for his work on *Batman: City of Madness*, and illustrated by Tristan Jones, famous for *Aliens: Defiance*, *Dark Descent* is set to captivate fans with its haunting narrative. The series will feature vibrant colors by Pip Martin and an array of striking cover art by Ward, Jeffrey Alan Love, Martin Simmonds, and Joshua Hixson.
