Careful, Simmers! Robin Banks, the infamous Burglar, is back in The Sims 4!
A familiar face to veteran Sims players, Robin Banks returns in the latest update for The Sims 4, available now on PC and consoles. Get ready to safeguard your Sim's valuables! She prefers the cover of night and typically targets homes while everyone's asleep, but don't be fooled – a daring daytime heist isn't beyond her capabilities. Stay vigilant!
To deter this mischievous menace, equip your Sim's home with a burglar alarm. Triggering the alarm guarantees a swift police response, leading to Robin's arrest and the recovery of your stolen goods. Alternatively, you can always call the police yourself – just be quick! Or, unleash your Sim's inner vigilante. The choice is yours.
The Sims team expressed their excitement, stating, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. A special shout-out to our team for making this a reality! Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses – she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."
Despite being a decade old (The Sims 4 itself, and the franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary), the game continues to thrive, attracting over 15 million new players last year alone. EA's Q2 earnings report revealed that The Sims 4, initially a premium title, took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, its 2022 transition to free-to-play resulted in a staggering 31 million new players immediately, reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And for those wondering, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5.
