It seems we can forget about explicit sex scenes in inZOI

The developers of the upcoming life simulation game, inZOI, recently addressed fan questions, notably one regarding the depiction of intimate relationships. The assistant director's response regarding the presence of sexual intercourse was intentionally vague, avoiding explicit terminology. Essentially, the implication is that such interactions occur; if male and female ZOIs retire to bed together, the intention to procreate is understood. However, the visual representation is left to the player's interpretation. The statement suggests that the game handles this aspect in a manner that may differ from expectations.

Currently, the level of censorship in inZOI remains ambiguous. It's unclear whether it will mirror the approach of The Sims series or employ a novel method.

The developers also explained the decision to depict ZOIs showering in towels instead of using pixelated censorship. This choice, they argued, is more aesthetically appropriate for the game's cartoonish art style. They noted that in a realistic style, such blurring can appear overly sexualized. Furthermore, a technical issue concerning reflections in mirrors when using pixelated censorship on naked ZOIs contributed to this decision.

Ultimately, the game's rating provides further context. The ESRB has assigned a T (Teen) rating, and a PEGI 12 rating is anticipated—mirroring the ratings of The Sims 4. This suggests a level of content consistent with those established titles.
