The highly anticipated Godzilla skin will officially make its debut in Fortnite on January 17, but details about the entire Monsterverse collaboration have now surfaced online. Thanks to a recent update from Epic Games that dataminers have thoroughly explored, we've gotten a sneak peek at what's in store. Beyond the standard Godzilla skin available through the battle pass, players will have the opportunity to purchase a set from the in-game store featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong. This exclusive set will also come with customized jet packs and pickaxes tailored for each character, adding a unique flair to your Fortnite experience.
On the same day, January 17, Fortnite will introduce an exciting new boss event. During this event, one lucky player on the map will transform into an oversized Godzilla, wielding the monster's iconic atomic breath ability. The challenge for other players? Team up and take down the colossal creature. The player who inflicts the most damage on Godzilla will be rewarded with a special medallion that grants a unique ability, making this event a thrilling addition to the game.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time, with the following pricing:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mecha Godzilla: 1,800 V-bucks
- Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One Emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks
In addition to the Monsterverse excitement, Fortnite continues to attract a diverse range of performers and artists. There's buzz that the beloved Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku, might be the next big name to appear in the game. Social media interactions between the Hatsune Miku account and the Fortnite Festival account have sparked this speculation, with the latter playfully suggesting they have Miku's missing backpack. Alongside the standard Vocaloid skin, players can look forward to a stylized pickaxe, a "Miku the Catgirl" variant skin, and even a virtual Hatsune Miku concert, promising a delightful crossover for fans.
