Get ready, gamers! Delta Force, the eagerly anticipated tactical FPS, is set to make a global splash, courtesy of Garena. Originally known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, the game is launching a PC Open Beta on December 5th, 2024, with the mobile open beta scheduled for next year.
For those unfamiliar, Delta Force was initially developed by NovaLogic. Later, Tencent’s TiMi Studios, the masterminds behind Call of Duty Mobile, took the reins. Now, Garena is partnering with TiMi to roll out Delta Force in several global regions.
One of the standout features of Delta Force is its cross-progression system, allowing seamless transitions between PC and mobile. In 2025, Garena and TiMi are planning to launch Delta Force on both platforms in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Brazil, Central and South America, the Middle East, and North Africa.
What Will Garena Offer in Delta Force?
If you're a fan of large-scale battles, you'll be thrilled with the Warfare mode. It's a 32 versus 32 showdown that spans land, air, and sea. Teams are divided into squads of four operators, making for an intense, multi-dimensional combat experience.
For a different kind of thrill, there's Operations mode, an extraction shooter where teams of three undertake high-stakes missions. Your squad will need to scavenge for loot, evade enemies, and reach an extraction point before time runs out. The loot you gather can be used in future matches or exchanged for in-game currency. You can also take down opponents to claim their gear and supplies. The map is dotted with bosses, restricted areas, and special missions, adding layers of challenge and excitement.
A unique feature in Operations mode is the MandelBrick, a rare item that, when found, unlocks exclusive skins. However, there's a catch: your location is broadcast to all other players, making you a prime target. Intrigued? Check out the trailer of Delta Force shared by Garena on YouTube.
Did You Play the Original?
The new Delta Force by Garena and TiMi promises sharp, realistic graphics and the tactical depth that the series is renowned for. If you played the original game released in 1998, you're in for a nostalgic treat.
