Genshin Impact's Version 5.4: A Closer Look at Yumemizuki Mizuki and a Smaller Update
Version 5.4 of Genshin Impact introduces Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo Catalyst character from Inazuma. Mizuki's gameplay is comparable to Sucrose, but with added healing capabilities, making her a valuable asset, particularly in Taser teams. Her introduction was officially revealed via Twitter, slightly later than anticipated, continuing the unpredictable drip marketing trend. Mizuki's backstory, revealed through marketing, positions her as a psychologist and the primary owner of Aisa Bathhouse, and a close acquaintance of Yae Miko. Her appearance is likely tied to Version 5.4's Inazuma-based Flagship Event, centered around yokai and featuring Yae Miko prominently. A dedicated Story Quest for Mizuki will also be included in this update.
Yumemizuki Mizuki Details:
- Title: Embrace of Enchanting Dreams
- Rarity: 5-Star
- Vision: Anemo
- Weapon: Catalyst
- Constellation: Tapirus Somniator
Version 5.4's Event Banners will feature Mizuki and Wriothesley in the first half, followed by Furina and Sigewinne in the second. Importantly, Mizuki will join the Standard Banner after Version 5.4, suggesting that players prioritizing collection should focus on acquiring her Signature Weapon instead.
A Leaner Version 5.4:
Unlike the content-rich Version 5.3, Version 5.4 offers a more streamlined experience. It includes only one new character (Mizuki), a single Story Quest, and no new Artifact Domain or map expansion. Consequently, the Primogem rewards will be lower than usual. Players aiming for characters like Furina or Wriothesley from Fontaine should prioritize saving their Lantern Rite rewards for this update, unless a character from Version 5.3's Chronicled Banner particularly appeals to them.
