Genshin Impact 5.0 Update Leak: New Dendro DPS Character Revealed
A recent leak reveals details about a new five-star Dendro DPS character coming in Genshin Impact's highly anticipated 5.0 update, which will introduce the Natlan region. This update follows the conclusion of Fontaine's storyline and is expected to bring a wealth of new content, including environments, characters, weapons, and storylines. Natlan, known as the Pyro nation and associated with warfare (hence the Pyro Archon Murata's title, God of War), promises exciting gameplay possibilities.
Uncle K, a known Genshin Impact leaker, has shed light on this new character. The leak suggests a male Claymore-wielding Dendro DPS whose abilities center around the Bloom and Burning elemental reactions. Bloom, triggered by combining Dendro and Hydro, creates explosive Dendro Cores. Burning, a simpler reaction combining Dendro and Pyro, applies a Damage over Time (DoT) effect. This combination marks the first five-star Claymore-wielding Dendro character in the game.
Community Concerns Regarding Burning Reaction
The reliance on the Burning reaction has raised some concerns among players, as it's generally considered less potent than other Dendro reactions. This skepticism is understandable, given the recent buffs to Emilie, a confirmed five-star Dendro support character for update 4.8, who was initially designed around Burning but has since been adjusted for greater team versatility.
Confirmed and Rumored Characters
While the Natlan Pyro Archon is the only confirmed addition for 5.0, HoYoverse may reveal more Natlan characters in the Special Program event for update 4.8 (around July 5th). Furthermore, leaks suggest Columbina, the Third Fatui Harbinger, will serve as the main antagonist in the Natlan arc. This powerful Cryo user is rumored to become a playable character sometime in 2025. The upcoming updates promise a thrilling expansion of the Genshin Impact universe.
