The iconic survival horror titles, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, have been resurrected and are now available on PC through GOG, the CD Projekt-owned platform. These cult classics, originally released on the PlayStation, are now accessible DRM-free, with all their original content preserved under GOG's Preservation Program. Dino Crisis hit the shelves in 1999, followed by Dino Crisis 2 a year later. While Dino Crisis 3 made its debut exclusively on the original Xbox in 2003, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a new installment or an HD remake. However, Capcom's focus seems to have shifted, with the 2022 announcement of Exoprimal—a multiplayer action game featuring dinosaurs—seen by many as the final nail in the coffin for the series. This sentiment was further reinforced when Dino Crisis creator Shinji Mikami stated last August that the success of Capcom's Monster Hunter series leaves little room for a Dino Crisis reboot or remake.
