Alkimia Interactive, the creative minds behind the much-anticipated Gothic 1 Remake, have excited fans by offering journalists early access to a brand-new demo. Originally crafted for Gamescom, this demo is slated to become available to the public soon, giving everyone a taste of what's to come.
This demo acts as an appetizer to the full game, introducing players to a fresh protagonist, Niras, instead of the iconic Nameless Hero. Niras, another prisoner, arrives in the Miners' Valley, engaging with its residents and laying the groundwork for the expansive story ahead.
Back in 2024, at Gamescom, the developers unveiled a special prologue demo centered around Niras' entry into the Colony, showcasing the challenging environment and its inhabitants. Soon, this demo will be open for all to experience the revamped world of Gothic. Both the demo and the final game have been reconstructed from the ground up, ensuring a longer playtime, a deeper focus on orcs, and enhanced immersive elements. Enthusiasts can look forward to a richer, more captivating experience than the original offered.
The latest demo of Gothic 1 Remake will be accessible on Steam during the Steam Next Fest event. It will be free to play from the evening of February 24th until the evening of March 3rd, after which access will end. The full release of Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for later this year, available on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
