For enthusiasts of automobile simulators, January 16, 2025, marks a historic day. Kunos Simulazioni Studios will launch Assetto Corsa EVO on Steam early access, promising an exhilarating experience for racing fans. At launch, players will have access to 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in early access, the developers assure that the game will feature impressive physics, control, and realistic car behavior right from the start.
A standout feature of Assetto Corsa EVO is the free-ride mode, allowing players to explore at their own pace. A major update slated for the summer of 2025 will introduce roads surrounding the famous Nürburgring track. This fully laser-scanned open world will span up to 1600 square kilometers and will be expanded gradually, enhancing the game's immersive environment.
Assetto Corsa EVO aims to set a new standard in car simulation, challenging industry giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport with its photorealistic graphics and advanced physics. At its debut, the game is expected to include 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with more to be added through future free updates. Every circuit will replicate real-world conditions, including rolling tires or wet pavement, and feature animated spectators to heighten the realism.
The developers have also refined the automobiles' dynamics, suspension damping, and shock absorption, ensuring an authentic driving experience. The Driving Academy mode, one of the intended single-player activities in Early Access, will challenge players to complete specific tracks within a set time. Successfully finishing the Driving Academy will earn players a license, granting access to the game's elite vehicles.
