GTA 6 is firmly on track for a Fall 2025 release. During the Q3 Earnings Conference Call on February 7, 2025, Take-Two Interactive shared insights into their current status and upcoming releases for the year.

Take-Two Interactive's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, expressed strong confidence in the Fall 2025 release for GTA 6. However, he acknowledged the inherent risks in game development, stating, "Look, there's always a risk of slippage and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things." Despite this, Zelnick remains optimistic, saying, "We feel really good about it," regarding the expected release window. He refrained from discussing GTA 6's development specifics but emphasized Rockstar's pursuit of perfection, adding, "I never claim success before it occurs. I'm fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we're all running scared and looking over our shoulders and we know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited."

Regarding the commercial potential of these titles, Zelnick stated, "We are exceedingly optimistic about the commercial potential of our titles and believe that they will have a transformative effect on our business – and our industry – over the long term." The company also projects "sequential increases in, and record levels of, Net Bookings in Fiscal 2026 and 2027."

GTA 5 Actor Does Not Hate His Character

Fans have speculated that Steven Ogg, the actor who played Trevor in GTA 5, dislikes being associated with the character. However, Ogg clarified this misconception during an interview on the Inside You podcast.

Ogg explained that he doesn't hate Trevor but finds it odd when fans call him by his character's name. "When people call you by your character name, it's kinda weird because I kinda get it, but I'm also like meh," he said. He praised Trevor, calling him "a great character" and "awesome." Ogg also mentioned his continued friendship with his co-stars, Shawn Fonteno (Franklin) and Ned Luke (Michael), noting they recently attended a Comic Con together.

In a previous interview with Screen Rant, Ogg suggested a cameo for Trevor in GTA 6, where the character could be killed off early in the game. However, he confirmed he has not recorded any lines for GTA 6 and has no information on whether Trevor will return.

GTA 6 is slated for a Fall 2025 release, though no specific date has been announced. Stay updated with the latest news on our Grand Theft Auto 6 page.
