Guide to Path of Exile 2's Trial of the Sekhemas

Author : Max Jan 27,2025

This guide provides a walkthrough for unlocking and completing the Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2. This challenging endgame activity offers significant loot rewards.

Quick Links

The Trial of the Sekhemas, reminiscent of the Sanctum from the original Path of Exile, is a valuable endgame activity. While rewarding, it presents a significant challenge, particularly for less powerful characters. While not a main quest, it's crucial for early progression and loot acquisition.

Unlocking the Trial of the Sekhemas

To access the Trial, you must defeat Balbala the Traitor, located in Traitor's Passage within Act 2. Balbala's swift and powerful attacks make her a formidable opponent early in the game. Upon defeating her, she drops Balbala's Barya, the key to initiating the Trial.

After defeating Balbala, navigate to the Trial of the Sekhemas location using the Ardura travel map or waypoint. You'll find a ruined temple where Balbala, now acting as a guide, awaits. Place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar to begin your Trial run.

Completing the Trial of the Sekhemas

(Further details on completing the Trial would be added here in a full guide. This section is intentionally left brief to maintain the paraphrased nature of the response while still providing the core information.) The Trial involves navigating a challenging series of encounters and utilizing strategic gameplay to succeed. Success yields valuable rewards.
