Season 8 of Hearthstone Battlegrounds has arrived, bringing exciting new additions and changes to the game. Get ready for new Trinkets, heroes, minions, and more!
The Big News: Trinkets!
The Perils in Paradise update paves the way for Season 8 and its star attraction: Trinkets! Prepare to discover 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets, with the possibility of obtaining duplicates. These powerful enhancements appear on turns 6 and 9, offering 4 choices each time. Your hero and board composition will influence the available Trinkets, ensuring diverse options for Elemental, Dragon, Murloc, and other strategies.
Meet Marin the Manager!
Season 8 introduces a new hero: Marin the Manager. Marin’s unique ability lets you acquire a Trinket a turn earlier, giving you a significant advantage over your opponents. See Marin in action here:
Minions, Spells, and Cards: A Roster Refresh
Season 8 also features a minion refresh. While 41 minions are rotating out, 22 fan favorites are returning, alongside 27 brand-new minions and 2 exciting Tavern spells.
Four new cards join the fray:
- Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
- Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Strengthens your lower-tier minions.
- Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
- Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's.
The Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event
From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event. Complete Event Quests to earn a total of 14 packs, including rewards from Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop.
